Dodoma District Court has filed a suicide attempt and ordered a mental health treatment at the Institute of Mirembe Isanga, a resident of the Dodoma District of Dodoma, Onesmo Machibya (44), known as the "Prophet Tito" .
The court reached the decision after receiving reports of Tito's mental health tests from Mirembe Isanga, confirming his mental illness.
Initially, Judge Justice Ward, James Kalayemaha, ordered Tito to be sent to the psychiatric institution for mental health care and the court has accused him of the charges he was facing.
He said in a medical report that the prophet Tito really has mental health problems, so he should be taken to the Isanga Mirembe Institute for treatment.
The court, on February 5, this year, ordered the presentation of illustrations that show Tito's prophet with mental disorders and tests at the Mental Health Institute Mirembe Isanga due to the accused claiming he had mental disorders.
Commenting on the case before Judge Justice Ward, James Karayemaha, State Lawyer, Beatrice Nsana, requested the court to set up another date for the reference and presentation of information from Isanga.
As a result of the application, Judge Karayemaha asked the defendant if he had come up with an illustration as ordered by the court.
The defendant told the magistrate that he had executed the decree and that since the order he was given he had been arrested and was not sent to Isanga's institution.
However, Judge Karayemaha said the defendant had presented his illustrations from the Mhimbili National Hospital and that the court needed information from Mirembe Isanga Institute as prescribed.
"The court issued an order to be sent to the Institute of Mirembe Isanga in accordance with section 219 (2) of the law of criminal conduct," said the judge.
The article states that if the accused is convinced that he has a mental health problem, the court will decide that he did not have the right mind so he is innocent.
As a result, Judge Karayemaha ordered Isanga Prison Commander to carry out a court order issued to bring him to trial.
"I am in charge of the Permanent Prisoner to initiate the court order so that the information of the accused will be submitted on the scheduled date on March 5, this year, we will file the case and receive a report on his dimensions from Isanga," said the judge.
Tito's prophet was charged with suicide and rape and injuries in abortion areas on January 25, this year when the Ng'ong'ona colony was arrested by police.
