Jardim: Season is over for Sidibe

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim does not expect Djibril Sidibe to return to action this season due to the knee injury he suffered against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

The France international was forced off in the 34th minute at Parc des Princes, where PSG ran out comprehensive 7-1 victors to reclaim the Ligue 1 title from the Principality outfit.

Jardim's side are on course to qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stages as they sit second in the table, four points clear of third-placed Lyon with five games remaining.

But they go into the final five weeks of the campaign without Sidibe, who could be ruled out for almost two months - casting doubt on his participation for Les Bleus at the World Cup in Russia.

"In the most serious cases it is seven weeks; in the less serious, four weeks," Jardim told reporters.

"You have to check that with the specialists. The medical service will make the best decision, I have full confidence.

"Will we be seeing him again this season? I think not."
